Is Lucky Mate casino legit? The company and the casino are real; a current licence is what we couldn’t verify. BrillianteFin Development N.V., Curaçao company no. 158519, runs the site. Its footer quotes no. 365/JAZ, an old Curaçao master-licence number of Gaming Services Provider N.V. that ran out on 18 August 2024, and the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s public register (21 September 2026 edition) has no entry for BrillianteFin. The ACMA followed with a block on Lucky Mate, announced on 13 February 2026.
The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 goes after the casino and leaves players alone, which also means nobody in Australia steps in when a withdrawal goes wrong. Casino Guru has two delayed-payout complaints on file, for A$660 and A$1,200. If you came for bonuses, games and payments, the Lucky Mate casino overview covers them.

9 claims by status
Of the nine, only the company’s identity holds up. Each claim suggesting Lucky Mate is regulated or unblocked failed at the source.
Who is behind Lucky Mate
Three records name the same company. The Australian site’s footer text cites “Operated under the licence no 365/JAZ by BrillianteFin Development N.V.”; the operator’s 2023 terms on an older domain, luckymate.casino, add company number 158519; and the Tobique Gaming Commission register in Canada lists it too. Casino Guru marks the owner as “undisclosed”, but three matching records are enough for us to name it.
BrillianteFin also operates Lucky Green, Pokiesurf, Spinstralia and Pocket Pokies, all on a platform that has been running since 2023. Lucky Mate’s Australian version had launched no later than February 2025, and today it sits on luckymate.co.com, in AUD, with EN-AU and EN-NZ versions. A named company tells you whom to complain about. It says nothing about a licence.
The licence: what 365/JAZ really means
A number from Curaçao’s retired master system
Until 2024, a few Curaçao master-licence holders let other operators trade under their numbers; that’s where all those footers ending in /JAZ came from. 365/JAZ is the number of Gaming Services Provider N.V. The regulator’s notice of 7 August 2024 said master licences would be neither renewed nor extended, and this one lapsed on 18 August 2024. Licences are now issued directly by the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA), with numbers that start OGL/ or CGA/. In 2026, Lucky Mate’s footer still points to a licence that has stopped existing.
What the CGA register shows
In the 21 September 2026 edition we ran three searches: the company name, company number 158519 and 365/JAZ. None returned a result, though the same searches find other Curaçao operators. Casino Guru’s Australian review reached the same conclusion and lists “No license”.
The Canadian entry that ran out
One register does know BrillianteFin: the Tobique Gaming Commission’s. The entry is a B2C licence that expired on 8 August 2025, with no renewal shown, and its domain list covers luckymate.casino but not luckymate.com or luckymate.co.com.
What the operator says instead
In its May 2026 FAQ, Lucky Mate says it “is licensed by an international gambling authority and regularly audited”, and leaves the authority unnamed. The Australian homepage of October 2025 was more candid when it discussed the licence, conceding that the casino “is not licensed on Australian soil”. Of the two lines, only the older one can be checked, and it’s accurate.
Timeline: licence, block and what comes next
| Date | What happened |
|---|---|
| 2023 | BrillianteFin’s casino platform is running on luckymate.casino |
| 18 August 2024 | Master licence 365/JAZ expires; Lucky Mate’s footer number stops pointing to a live licence |
| February 2025 | Australian casino launched on luckymate.com by this date at the latest |
| 8 August 2025 | BrillianteFin’s Tobique (Canada) licence entry expires |
| 13 February 2026 | ACMA announces a block on Lucky Mate, one of eight brands in that batch |
| 19 May 2026 | Archived luckymate.co.com still cites 365/JAZ, 21 months after expiry |
| 21 September 2026 | CGA register edition with no entry for BrillianteFin |
| 24 September 2026 | ACMA’s count reaches 1,822 sites blocked since November 2019 |
| 1 January 2027 | Act No. 72 of 2026: banks must block payments to illegal gambling services |
The ACMA block: what it means if you play
The ACMA’s 13 February 2026 announcement listed Lucky Mate among eight brands it had asked internet providers to block. Its blocklist carries luckymate.com and luckymatecasino.com, both of which redirect to the current domain, luckymate.co.com; that one wasn’t listed when we looked in October 2026. You can run any domain through the ACMA list of blocked gambling websites yourself.
What changes for someone with an account
- Your provider may not load the site at all, and access can change without notice.
- According to the ACMA, a block can lock you out of an account you already have. Keep the balance small.
- Banks must block payments to illegal gambling services from 1 January 2027, so PayID and card deposits could stop going through.
- An old luckymate.com bookmark may throw an error rather than redirect; Lucky Mate login problems covers the fixes.
Is it legal to play Lucky Mate from Australia?
No Australian licence exists for online casinos. Under section 15(2A) of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, a person must not provide a prohibited interactive gambling service that has an Australian-customer link. The penalties land on whoever provides or advertises the service. Customers aren’t in the frame: in the Department of Infrastructure’s words, the Act “targets the providers of interactive gambling, not their potential or actual customers”.
Protection is what the player loses. The government says customers of these offshore services have “little recourse”, and in practice no Australian regulator will chase a delayed payout. BetStop doesn’t help either, since it covers only licensed Australian bookmakers.
The short legal position: Lucky Mate is an offshore casino without an Australian licence. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 bars operators from offering online casino games to people in Australia, and in February 2026 the ACMA asked internet providers to block the brand. The Act is directed at operators, but Australian players have little recourse if something goes wrong. The operator cites licence no. 365/JAZ, a legacy Curaçao number we couldn’t match to any entry in the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s current register. 18+ only. Reputation: what players and reviewers report
On Trustpilot, luckymate.casino averages 1.8 across 32 reviews, and 85% of those are 1-star. British and Australian players share that profile, so read it as a verdict on the platform as a whole. The Australian domain, luckymate.co.com, has 2 reviews, both 1-star.
Trustpilot: 32 reviews
Casino Guru keeps its Australian review apart from the British one. There, Lucky Mate scores 3.5 on the Safety Index, a Low rating, with “No license” and “Undisclosed owner” flagged and two delayed-payout complaints on file, for A$660 and A$1,200.
What the complaints have in common
The complaints fall into four groups, each tied to a rule the operator publishes:
- Slow payouts. Up to 48 hours of review, never at weekends, then up to 5 working days for the transfer.
- Repeat ID checks. The whole set can be requested again before a payout: selfie with ID, an ID valid for six months or more, a bank statement under three months old.
- Wagering on bonus-session wins. One complaint describes x45 being applied, where the operator’s page states x40 on the bonus amount.
- Deductions at withdrawal. Cash out before your total bets match your deposit and an extra commission comes off, at a rate the operator doesn’t publish for Australia.
None of this excuses a payout that never arrives. What it gives you is a list of problems you can see coming. The documents are covered under verification at Lucky Mate, and the timing behind slow withdrawals is worked through day by day on our cash-out page.
Lucky Mate Australia and LuckyMate UK are different casinos
Many Lucky Mate search results describe a British site with a near-identical name, and some reviews even hand the Australian casino its UK licence.
| Point of comparison | Lucky Mate (Australia) | LuckyMate (UK) |
|---|---|---|
| Web address | luckymate.co.com | luckymate.co.uk |
| Company | BrillianteFin Development N.V., Curaçao | Anakatech Interactive Ltd |
| Licence status | Cites 365/JAZ, expired 18 August 2024; not in the CGA register | UK Gambling Commission |
| Who it’s for | Australian players, with an EN-NZ version; ACMA block announced 13 February 2026 | UK players, not Australians |
| Products | Casino only, no sportsbook | Casino and sports betting |
| Currency | AUD | GBP (£) |
| Welcome offer | Up to A$4,000 + 150 free spins over four deposits, no code | Code MATE50, 50 spins on Big Bass Splash |
When a page about “Lucky Mate Australia” brings up a UK licence, MATE50 or pounds, it’s describing the other, UK-licensed company, so treat the rest of that page with caution.
How to check Lucky Mate’s licence yourself
This check needs no trust in us or in the casino. The CGA itself advises verifying any operator in the licence register on its official website:
| Step | What a pass looks like | Result for Lucky Mate |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Copy the legal name and number from the footer or terms | A named company and a licence number | BrillianteFin Development N.V.; 365/JAZ |
| 2. Search the CGA register by company name | An entry with an OGL/ or CGA/ number | No entry (21 September 2026 edition) |
| 3. Click the footer seal | A green box with white “CGA” letters opening a certificate on cert.cga.cw | No CGA certificate on record for the company |
| 4. Match the domain | The exact domain you play on is listed | Only the expired Tobique entry named a domain, luckymate.casino |
| 5. Check the ACMA blocklist | Your domain is absent (still not a licence) | luckymate.com and luckymatecasino.com listed |
Step two is the decisive one. Search the Curaçao Gaming Authority register by company name rather than brand. A seal that’s just an image, or one that opens a page on the casino’s own domain, proves nothing.
Official site or copycat: how to tell
For Australia we link only one domain to the operator: luckymate.co.com, with EN (AU) and EN (NZ) versions, AUD balances and BrillianteFin in the footer. Dozens of other sites borrow the Lucky Mate name. Their promises usually give them away:
- POLi in the payment list. POLi has been closed in Australia since 30 September 2023. The genuine cashier lists PayID, cards, bank transfer, crypto, e-wallets and paysafecard.
- Sports betting. There’s no sportsbook in the Australian lobby.
- A no deposit bonus or a “Lucky Mate code”. We found no public no-deposit offer between 2025 and 2026, and MATE50 is the UK site’s code.
- A login form on another address. Look-alikes tend to add a hyphen, digits or a word such as “login” to the address. Type your password into luckymate.co.com and nowhere else.
- An app download button. The operator hasn’t confirmed a native app, and nothing links the publisher of the App Store listing to BrillianteFin.
Once you’re on the right domain, how Lucky Mate takes payments walks through deposit methods, minimums and the PayID exact-amount rule.
See the Lucky Mate welcome offerIf a payout goes wrong: who can actually help
Scenario based on the operator’s published rules. Picture a A$1,200 request, the same size as one Casino Guru complaint, filed on a Friday. Nothing is processed at the weekend, so the review runs Monday to Wednesday. A card or bank transfer then needs up to 5 working days, which puts the money on day 12 at the slowest the rules allow. PayID gets there around day 6.
If day 13 comes and the money hasn’t, work through these steps in order:
- Ask in live chat (16:00–10:00 GMT+11 daily) and save the transcript.
- Repeat the request by email to [email protected] so there’s a dated record. The operator aims for 3 hours; Casino Guru, testing on 31 March 2026, got its answer after 7 days.
- Screenshot your balance and the withdrawal status, and note each document you sent.
- Open a case with a public complaint service. Casino Guru’s, where the two complaints we cite are logged, is one option.

Our verdict: is Lucky Mate legit enough for you?
As a casino, Lucky Mate works. A company we can identify runs it, deposits go through PayID into AUD balances, and the pokies lobby is big. The rest is another story: no current licence turned up in the registers we searched, the ACMA has moved to block it, and the complaints cluster around payouts.
- Give it a miss if you want a regulator behind you, if you’d be leaving a large balance on the site, or if you need money back by a fixed date.
- It can suit a punter having a small punt with spare money, who accepts that the operator’s support is the only route if something goes wrong.
If you go ahead, get verified long before you need a payout. Put deposit and loss limits on the account at the start, and keep each week’s withdrawals inside the A$5,000 cap. Shorter answers are collected under Lucky Mate questions answered.
