Australian players won’t find a public Lucky Mate promo code in 2026, and they don’t need one. A deposit of A$25 or more is enough to trigger the first-deposit bonus of 150% up to A$1,000 plus 150 free spins on Mustang Gold, so the promo code box can be left blank. The code most search results push, MATE50, comes from the British LuckyMate site and gets nowhere in the Australian cashier.

The same goes for a no-deposit bonus: nothing public. Archived snapshots of the operator’s promotions from 2025 and 2026 list neither a free chip nor free spins for new sign-ups. Its cashier code does include a message about a no-deposit bonus being credited to an account, which suggests the mechanism is there for personal offers even though no public deal uses it.

Our sources are the archived operator site (19 May 2026) and its cashier code, both checked in October 2026. Codes, no-deposit offers and the 150 spins are the scope here; for everything else about the casino, see our full Lucky Mate breakdown.

What to type in the promo code box

You’ll find the box in the cashier, next to an Apply button and a single line of instructions: “Keep an eye on our promotional emails! If you receive a promo code, you can use it here.” Codes go out by email to existing players; the welcome package doesn’t use one.

The five replies the code box can give

The archived cashier code holds five responses to whatever you type:

  • “Promo code applied”: accepted. Read the bonus card before the deposit goes through.
  • “Promo code doesn’t exist”: the system doesn’t recognise it, the likely reply to a code copied from a site the operator doesn’t run.
  • “Promo code has expired”: an emailed code past its date. Ask support whether a newer offer replaced it.
  • “Promo code already used”: redeemed on your account before.
  • “Promo code is invalid”: rejected with no reason given. Send support a screenshot.

None of these replies affects the welcome bonus, which doesn’t depend on the box at all. If a code throws an error, clear the field before you deposit.

MATE50 is a UK code

Google picked MATE50 up from the British LuckyMate site. The company behind luckymate.co.uk holds a UK licence and runs a separate brand, so MATE50 and its Big Bass Splash spins have no effect on an Australian account.

British news, racing and sports outlets keep repeating MATE50 on pages titled with the brand name. Those pages rank for Lucky Mate searches made from Australia, and a few local sites using the name have copied the UK offer wholesale. So Aussie players end up typing a British code into a cashier that runs in dollars.

Four ways to tell a UK offer from an Australian one

  • Currency. A bonus in pounds belongs to the UK site; Lucky Mate in Australia runs in AUD.
  • The game. UK spins are on Big Bass Splash, Australian ones on Mustang Gold by Pragmatic Play.
  • Sports. The UK brand runs a sportsbook. Lucky Mate in Australia is casino only, so a “free bet” carrying the name isn’t an Australian offer.
  • The domain. The operator’s Australian site is luckymate.co.com, not luckymate.co.uk.

Lucky Mate no deposit bonus: none public

We read through the promotions archived from the operator’s site in 2025 and 2026 and found no public no-deposit bonus, neither a sign-up chip nor spins without a deposit. A new player’s first claimable offer is step one of the welcome package, and it takes A$25.

The system can still hand out no-deposit credit. One line in the cashier code reads “No deposit bonus {name} credited to your account”, and an archived Easter Egg Hunt page let players swap eggs collected on slots for offers, no-deposit bonuses included. Both suggest this credit reaches existing players through email codes and events. A code copied from a search result won’t produce it.

If a personal offer lands in your inbox

No standard terms have been published for personal no-deposit offers, which leaves their wagering, time limit and cash-out cap unknown to us. Screenshot the bonus card before you spin. Two house rules cover every Lucky Mate bonus regardless: wagering counts on slots only, and any Live game deletes all active bonuses. Where the card says nothing about a term, ask live chat (16:00–10:00 GMT+11 daily) and keep the reply.

The small PayID no-deposit offers in search results

Google’s “People also ask” box keeps suggesting small no-deposit bonuses paid by PayID. Lucky Mate publishes no such offer: PayID here is a deposit method from about A$20, and the welcome bonus starts at A$25.

Jumping between sites hunting for free money is also one of the early signs that gambling is costing more than it should. If that sounds familiar, put a deposit limit on your Lucky Mate account or ring Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858; the call is free and the line never closes. Only adults 18+ can play at Lucky Mate.

150 free spins on Mustang Gold: terms and maths

The 150 free spins come with step one only, on a first deposit of A$25 or more, and they’re played on Mustang Gold by Pragmatic Play. Pragmatic lists the game at 96.53% RTP with a maximum win of 12,000x the stake. The count has gone up over time: back in 2025 the archived offer gave 100 spins, and the May 2026 version raised that to 150.

Step 1 free spins

What’s missing is the value of each spin, how long you have to play them and any cap on their winnings; the operator publishes none of the three. Without a spin value, 150 spins can’t be turned into a dollar figure, and any page quoting one is guessing.

Are free spin winnings yours?

Probably not straight away. Nothing published explains how spin winnings are credited, so it’s safest to plan as if they carry the match’s x40. Wagering is calculated on the bonus alone (Bonus Amount × Wager, in the operator’s terms), and your deposit never gets multiplied.

One Trustpilot complaint shows how this looks from the player’s side. The reviewer mentions x45 and describes extra wagering being applied to winnings from a bonus session, whereas the operator’s page says x40. Whichever multiplier is right, anything won during a bonus session stays tied to that bonus until it’s wagered through.

Scenario: a A$25 first deposit, no code

Worked through using the operator’s published rules

  1. You deposit A$25 and leave the promo code box empty.
  2. Step one adds a A$37.50 bonus (150% of A$25) and 150 free spins on Mustang Gold.
  3. Wagering on the match: A$37.50 × 40 = A$1,500 of pokies bets.
  4. Say the spins return A$30, a hypothetical figure since spin value isn’t published. As bonus funds that adds A$30 × 40 = A$1,200 of wagering, A$2,700 in total.
  5. Deposit A$20 instead and you get neither the match nor the spins, even though PayID accepts about A$20.

Scenario based on the operator’s published rules. Source: operator’s site as archived on 19 May 2026; Pragmatic Play official game page for RTP and maximum win (checked October 2026).

At A$100 the bonus becomes A$150 and the wagering A$6,000. Bigger deposits, the A$1,000 cap and steps two to four are worked through in our four-step welcome package guide.

What 96.53% and 12,000x mean here

At 96.53%, Mustang Gold keeps about A$3.47 of every A$100 bet over a very long run, and 150 spins are nowhere near enough for that average to show up. Clearing x40 needs a game paying 97.5% or more just to break even in theory. Mustang Gold sits below that line, so the spins give you more time on the reels and no edge over the house. As for 12,000x, that’s the ceiling for a single stake, and a batch of free spins is very unlikely to get anywhere near it.

How to claim the spins without a code

  1. Open your account in your own name. Fill in the Lucky Mate sign-up form with the name your bank has on file, because payouts are only sent to a matching-name account in the same country.
  2. Deposit A$25 or more. A PayID deposit is the quickest route. Match the amount to the cent, write nothing about “casino” in the reference, and give it as long as an hour to show up.
  3. Leave the promo code box empty unless Lucky Mate emailed you a code.
  4. Screenshot the bonus card. Check the multiplier, the spin count and any expiry or cap it shows.
  5. Play the spins, then stay on the pokies. Only slot bets count, and any Live game deletes every active bonus.
  6. Hold off on withdrawals mid-wagering. A withdrawal request cancels the bonus and anything still tied to it.
  7. Get KYC ready: the operator wants a selfie holding your ID, the ID itself with six months or more left on it, and a PDF statement for the last three months listing three or more transactions.

Fake Lucky Mate codes on copycat sites

The Lucky Mate name turns up on dozens of sites the operator has nothing to do with. Some publish codes it never issued, WINTER100 with free spins being one example; others promise no-deposit bonuses or “no wagering” deals. You won’t find any of it in the operator’s own promotions.

A real code comes by email from the operator, gets typed into the cashier on the operator’s own domain and displays its terms on the bonus card. Keep in mind that the casino operates offshore without an Australian licence, and that a block on the brand was announced by the ACMA on 13 February 2026. We go through the licence record and complaints when we check whether Lucky Mate is legit.

A big bankroll doesn’t help much in two of the five tournament formats. Maximum Win to Bet Ratio rewards a single large multiplier, and Total Number of Bets counts spins whatever their size. Each format is explained under weekly tournaments. Cashback suits players who’d rather skip wagering targets, though it vanishes the moment you ask for a payout.

Who should take the 150 spins

Take the spins if

  • You'd spin A$1,500 on pokies anyway
  • You'll read the bonus card before playing
  • You'll stay off live tables until wagering is done
  • You can wait out KYC and a A$5,000 weekly limit

Skip them if

  • You wanted a no-deposit bonus first
  • You plan to withdraw within a day or two
  • You'd rather play live blackjack or roulette
  • A search-result code is your only reason to sign up

For a A$25 first deposit, the 150 spins and the A$37.50 match make a fair add-on if you play pokies anyway; the price is A$1,500 of wagering plus whatever the spins win. A promo code is no reason to sign up, since there isn’t one. And should a weekend session build a big balance, the account limits still apply: no more than A$5,000 a week or A$15,000 a month.

Lucky Mate promo code questions

Account, payment and safety questions sit in our Lucky Mate FAQ; these two are about codes.

Do I lose the welcome bonus if I don't enter a code?

No. Step one switches on with the deposit itself: 150% up to A$1,000 plus 150 free spins on Mustang Gold for a first deposit of A$25 or more. The promo code box exists for codes the operator emails to players. You can still lose the bonus, though: by depositing under A$25, by opening a Live game while it’s active, or by requesting a withdrawal before the x40 wagering is finished.

Can existing players get Lucky Mate promo codes?

That’s who the codes are for. The cashier tells players to watch their promotional emails and enter any code they receive in the same box, and the archived cashier code includes a message for a no-deposit bonus credited to an account. If you want those emails, don’t opt out of promotional mail. The operator hasn’t published how often codes go out or what they’re worth, so we can’t quote typical amounts.
