Ask how big Lucky Mate’s pokies lobby is and the operator gives two answers, 800+ slots or 1,500+ titles, depending on the page. Pragmatic Play, Aristocrat, Playson, BNG and Nolimit City fill the front rows, and the best official RTP we could verify among them is Caishen’s Gold at 97.08%. Pokies are also the only games that count towards bonus wagering.
We worked from the operator’s site as archived on 19 May 2026 and from Pragmatic Play’s game pages, both checked in October 2026. Lucky Mate is an offshore operator without an Australian licence, and the ACMA announced a block on the brand on 13 February 2026. Our overview of Lucky Mate casino deals with that side, and this page stays with the games.
What’s in the Lucky Mate pokies lobby
Both lobby figures come from the operator: “over 1,500 titles” on a page it published in October 2025, and “800+ slots” in its New Zealand page metadata in May 2026. They aren’t directly comparable, since one counts every title and the other only slots. Casino Guru lists 39 providers behind the catalogue. Games sit in six tabs (Pokies, Live, Crash, Table, Jackpots and Instant), and the Australian site has no sportsbook.
The front row, in the operator’s order
The 19 May 2026 snapshot opens with Mustang Gold, then Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, Energy Coins, Bonanza Gold, Gates of Olympus, Buffalo Power and Wolf Gold, with Hit More Gold! in eighth place. Five of those first eight cards are Pragmatic Play games, two are Playson coin games and one comes from BNG. Mustang Gold, at the head of the row, is also the game that takes the 150 first-deposit free spins.
Further in come Sweet Bonanza, Caishen’s Gold, Mental, 5 Dragons, Sugar Rush, Lucky 88, Big Red, Mega Moolah, Big Bass Splash, Queen of the Nile and Starburst, among others. The same feed slips in Monaco Blackjack 2, which is a live table, plus Plinko and 500x Auto Roulette. None of those three is a pokie, and that matters while a bonus is running.
Beyond the front row, these eight are the ones we’d open first:
Providers behind the reels
Thirteen studios appear in the 19 May 2026 snapshot, from Pragmatic Play to Stake (Plinko) and Winfinity (live). Among the games we saw, this is who makes what.
| Provider | Role in the lobby | Titles seen in the 19 May 2026 snapshot |
|---|---|---|
| Pragmatic Play | Most of the front row; the only official RTPs we could verify | Mustang Gold, Gates of Olympus and its Super Scatter version, Bonanza Gold, Wolf Gold, Sweet Bonanza, Sugar Rush, Caishen’s Gold, Big Bass Splash |
| Aristocrat | Australian pub and club classics | 5 Dragons, Big Red, Queen of the Nile, Lucky 88, Where’s The Gold |
| Playson | Hold and Win coin games | Energy Coins, Buffalo Power, Royal Coins 2 |
| Nolimit City | High-volatility games with rare, outsized hits | Mental, Deadwood, San Quentin 2, Fire In The Hole xBomb |
| Games Global (Microgaming) | The progressive jackpot and older classics | Mega Moolah, Break da Bank Again, Kings of Cash, Thunderstruck II, Avalon |
| BNG | Coin-collect game with jackpot tiers | Hit More Gold! |
| NetEnt | A long-running classic | Starburst |
| BGaming, Konami, Wazdan, EGT | Smaller share of the lobby | Present in the snapshot; we didn’t match specific titles |

Casino Guru’s longer list adds Play’n GO, Relax, Push Gaming and Hacksaw. We’ve only named games we saw in the lobby itself.
Aristocrat classics: pub pokies online
For heaps of Aussie punters, Aristocrat is the reason to open a pokies lobby at all. The names below come straight off pub and club floors, and Lucky Mate carries five of them.
- 5 Dragons. Asian-themed, with a free-games feature where you choose more spins on smaller multipliers or fewer spins on bigger ones.
- Big Red. The outback kangaroo game a lot of players first met in a club.
- Queen of the Nile. Cleopatra and the pyramids; the lobby lists both the original and the sequel.
- Lucky 88. A fortune-themed game built around its free-games round.
- Where’s The Gold. A gold-mining theme from the same land-based family.
We didn’t find Aristocrat RTPs we could verify, and Lucky Mate’s own marketing tables quote figures for Lucky 88 and 5 Dragons that we couldn’t trace to the provider, so this page prints none. The return the casino has actually set is behind the info icon in each game.
Pragmatic Play hits and the official RTP figures
Pragmatic Play is the one studio in the lobby whose standard RTPs we could check on its own game pages. Seven of its games in the snapshot have a published figure, and they sit in a narrow band from 96.01% to 97.08%.
| Game | Official RTP | House edge per A$100 staked | Theoretical cost of A$6,000 turnover |
|---|---|---|---|
| Caishen’s Gold | 97.08% | A$2.92 | A$175.20 |
| Mustang Gold | 96.53% | A$3.47 | A$208.20 |
| Gates of Olympus | 96.50% | A$3.50 | A$210.00 |
| Bonanza Gold | 96.50% | A$3.50 | A$210.00 |
| Sugar Rush | 96.50% | A$3.50 | A$210.00 |
| Sweet Bonanza | 96.48% | A$3.52 | A$211.20 |
| Wolf Gold | 96.01% | A$3.99 | A$239.40 |

Official RTP, Pragmatic Play
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, second in the lobby, is left out on purpose: Pragmatic Play’s page gives it a 50,000x maximum win but showed no RTP figure when we checked.
The spread looks tiny until you multiply it: on A$6,000 of spins, Caishen’s Gold keeps A$175.20 on average and Wolf Gold A$239.40, a A$64.20 gap decided by which tile you click.
Spin Mustang Gold with 150 FSMustang Gold, the free-spins game
A first deposit of A$25 or more brings a 150% match up to A$1,000 and 150 free spins on Mustang Gold, which Pragmatic Play lists at 96.53% RTP with a 12,000x maximum win. How spin winnings are credited isn’t stated, so until the cashier says otherwise, assume they carry the same x40 as the match.
Big Bass Splash being in the lobby trips some readers up. Free spins on that game belong to luckymate.co.uk, a separate brand run by a UK-licensed company, and that site’s MATE50 code won’t work in the Australian cashier.
Max wins: 12,000x and 50,000x
Max win, x stake
On a A$1 spin, Mustang Gold tops out at A$12,000 and Gates of Olympus Super Scatter at A$50,000. A 50,000x ceiling is rare by design, and the game pays for it by returning less on the ordinary spins in between. If one did land, it would still leave in instalments under withdrawal caps of A$5,000 a week and A$15,000 a month.
Before chasing a number like that, put a loss limit on your account; the operator offers deposit and loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Lucky Mate is for adults 18+, and if chasing a multiplier starts costing you sleep or money you needed, Gambling Help Online takes calls on 1800 858 858, day or night.
Hold and Win from Playson and BNG
Playson supplies the coin games near the top of the lobby: Energy Coins, Buffalo Power and Royal Coins 2, all sold under “Hold and Win” titles. Bonus coins lock in place while the other positions respin. Energy Coins pays its Grand Jackpot for filling the grid, and Buffalo Power ties in-game jackpots to its Power symbols.
RTPs are harder to pin down here. Playson doesn’t publish them on its game pages, and the operator’s own figures don’t hold together. Lucky Mate’s May 2026 pokies table labels Buffalo Power a BNG game and quotes a different RTP from the page it published in October 2025, so we print neither.
BNG’s Hit More Gold! gives the same idea a gold-mine theme: each new ore symbol resets the respins, with jackpots from Mini to Grand. The operator’s tables have given it different reel layouts, RTPs and even a different studio name over time.
Nolimit City: the high-volatility end
Mental, Deadwood, San Quentin 2 and Fire In The Hole xBomb are built around rare, very large hits, so long dry runs between features are part of the design. We don’t quote volatility labels or RTPs for them, because we didn’t verify either with the studio.
That style sits badly with bonus wagering. Lucky Mate cancels a bonus when your balance hits zero, and a game that pays in rare bursts is more likely to empty a balance before A$6,000 of turnover is done. Clear x40 on steadier Pragmatic or Aristocrat games and keep Nolimit City for your own money.
Jackpots: Mega Moolah and the Jackpots tab
The Jackpots tab is home to Mega Moolah from Games Global, one of the longest-running progressives online, with Break da Bank Again, Kings of Cash and Thunderstruck II from the same studio elsewhere in the lobby. The snapshot doesn’t show jackpot amounts, and the operator’s description of Mega Moolah quotes an RTP we couldn’t confirm with Games Global, so both stay off this page.
Progressives usually return less in the base game, because part of each bet feeds the prize pool. Before using one to clear wagering, ask live chat whether jackpot games count like any other slot.
Why the RTP at the casino can differ
An official RTP is the studio’s standard setting. Many studios also supply lower settings of the same game, and the casino chooses which one to run, so read our table as the best case. The number inside the game is the one that applies.
- Open the pokie and tap the info or paytable button, usually an “i” or a menu icon in a corner.
- Scroll through the rules for “RTP” or “theoretical return”.
- Compare it with the official figure above. Each percentage point lower adds A$60 to the theoretical cost of A$6,000 of turnover.
- Screenshot it before you start clearing a bonus, so you have a record of the setting you played on.
Which pokies clear the welcome bonus
Lucky Mate’s rules say the bonus is wagered on slots only, and per-game contribution rates for Australian accounts aren’t published. Bets in the Pokies tab move the counter. Table games don’t, and neither do crash and instant titles such as Plinko from Stake and Chicken Road from InOut.
Live is where it gets expensive. Open any Live game with a bonus active and every active bonus is deleted, and the live bets themselves don’t count for wagering or cashback. Clear the bonus first, then take your own balance to the Lucky Mate live casino.
What x40 looks like on each game
Scenario based on the operator’s published rules: you deposit A$100 at step one and receive a A$150 bonus. Wagering is the bonus times 40, so A$6,000 in pokies bets. At A$1 a spin that’s 6,000 spins; at 50 cents, 12,000.
The game then sets the theoretical cost: A$175.20 on Caishen’s Gold, A$208.20 on Mustang Gold, A$239.40 on Wolf Gold. Break-even for x40 is an RTP of 97.5% (1 − 1/40). No official figure we found reaches it, which means that over the long run the A$150 bonus costs slightly more than it’s worth on every game in the table, even though a single session can swing either way.

The triggers that cancel a bonus and the four deposit steps are on our page about bonus wagering on pokies.
A shortlist if you’re clearing x40
- Caishen’s Gold at 97.08%, the highest official figure we found in the lobby.
- Mustang Gold at 96.53%, since the free spins put you there anyway.
- Gates of Olympus, Bonanza Gold or Sugar Rush at 96.50% each.
- Save Wolf Gold (96.01%) and the Nolimit City titles for sessions without a bonus.
Tournaments, mobile play and deposits
Pokies also feed the other promotions: weekly tournaments scored on measures such as Sum of Bets, and cashback of up to 15% in bonus money, calculated only from real-money slot bets. Our page on pokies tournaments, cashback and loyalty levels walks through all five scoring formats.
The lobby also runs in the mobile browser on iOS and Android. There’s no operator-confirmed app, so a home-screen shortcut is the tidy option; our guide to playing pokies on mobile sets it out.
To fund the lobby, PayID starts at about A$20 and can take up to an hour to show, though the welcome bonus only kicks in from A$25. Send the exact amount and don’t mention “casino” in the payment description. Cards, crypto and bank transfer are compared in our guide to funding your pokies balance.
Who the Lucky Mate pokies suit
Good fit if
- You want Aristocrat names like Big Red online
- You like checking RTPs against the studio
- You enjoy Playson's Hold and Win coin games
- You'll clear x40 on pokies only
Look elsewhere if
- You need a verified RTP for every game
- You want an operator regulated in Australia
- You play live tables while a bonus runs
- You expect a big win paid in one go
The lobby is the best thing about Lucky Mate, with Aristocrat’s club names sitting next to Pragmatic Play hits whose RTPs you can actually check. Its problems are outside the reels. We couldn’t verify the licence, the ACMA block is in place, and the withdrawal caps would stretch a big win over weeks. We reckon the sensible way in is a modest first deposit, with nothing but pokies until the x40 is done.

Lucky Mate pokies questions
These two come up most often about the games. Our FAQ collects more pokies questions alongside account and payment answers.
How many pokies does Lucky Mate have?
The operator has published two figures: over 1,500 titles on a page published in October 2025, and 800+ slots in its New Zealand page metadata in May 2026. The first counts every game and the second only slots, which puts the lobby somewhere between 800+ slots and 1,500+ titles. Casino Guru counts 39 providers. The lobby loads in pages behind a “Show more” button, so the archive can’t give a full count.
Does Lucky Mate have Aristocrat pokies?
Yes. The 19 May 2026 snapshot includes 5 Dragons, Big Red, Queen of the Nile (the original and the sequel), Lucky 88 and Where’s The Gold. We didn’t find Aristocrat RTPs we could verify, and the figures in the operator’s own tables don’t trace back to the studio, so check each game’s info panel for the setting Lucky Mate runs. As slots, they fall under the “slots only” wagering rule.
