1. Who we are
Reading our guides or writing to us involves a small amount of personal information, and this Privacy Policy describes how lucky-mate-australia.com (“we”, “us”) handles it. The policy covers the whole site, from the Lucky Mate Australia guide home to the legal pages.
This is a review site, and the Lucky Mate casino itself is run by its operator. We take no deposits and open no gambling accounts. Identity documents, payment details and any other data you give the casino never reach us. What you submit there, registration details and verification documents included, is the operator’s to handle under its own privacy policy.
Our handling of personal information follows the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. What we collect and why
Collection is limited to what the site needs to work, stay secure and get better. Each category appears below with its source, its purpose and how long we keep it.
| Data | How we get it | Why we use it | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Request data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser and device type | Automatically, in our hosting server’s logs | Deliver pages, fix errors, detect attacks and abuse | Up to 90 days |
| Security data: IP address, request details and security cookies | Automatically, when your request passes through Cloudflare’s network | Deliver pages quickly and filter malicious or automated traffic | Security cookies: 30 minutes by default; other data under Cloudflare’s own policy |
| Cookie-notice flag (sph_cookie_ok) | Saved in your browser’s local storage when you click “Got it” | Stop the cookie notice from reappearing | On your device until you clear site data |
| Visit statistics: pages viewed, approximate country or city, device type | From server logs and, where enabled, a simple analytics tool | See which guides readers use and which pages need updating | Totals without identifiers; records linked to a device no longer than 14 months |
| Your name, email address and message | When you email us or use our contact page | Reply to you and correct errors you report | Up to 24 months after your last message |
| Font request: IP address, browser details, page address | Your browser loads the site’s fonts from Google’s servers | Display the site’s typefaces | Held by Google under its own policy; we receive none of it |
Reading the site requires no personal information from you. You can browse without identifying yourself and email us under a pseudonym if you like, as long as the email address works so that we can reply.
3. What we do not collect
There are no reader accounts on the site, and no comments, newsletter or advertising networks either. Gambling account details, payment card or bank information, identity documents and betting history are never collected.
Please keep copies of your passport, driver licence or bank statement out of emails to us. Verification happens at the casino, and these documents are of no use to us. If one arrives by mistake, we will delete it and let you know.
We do not sell personal information, rent it out or use it to build advertising profiles.
4. Cookies and local storage
The site sets a few essential cookies and one local storage entry, plus analytics where enabled. Our cookie policy gives their names, purposes and lifetimes, along with steps for clearing or blocking them in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
5. Who we share information with
Personal information goes only to service providers that help us run the site, and each receives only as much as it needs:
- our hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs;
- Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers our pages through its content delivery network and filters malicious traffic;
- Google, which serves the site’s fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com;
- an analytics provider, if one is enabled;
- our email provider, for messages you send us.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid order from an Australian court or a lawful request from a law enforcement agency. Your details are never passed to Lucky Mate, its operator BrillianteFin Development N.V. or any other casino.
6. Information processed outside Australia
Some of this data is processed outside Australia. Cloudflare’s network is global, Google’s font servers operate worldwide, and both companies have their headquarters in the United States; our hosting server may sit outside Australia too. These providers receive only what is needed to deliver the site, and we use providers that publish their own privacy and security commitments.
7. How we protect information
Pages are served over HTTPS, so they and anything you send through them are encrypted in transit. Server logs, analytics and our inbox are password-protected and open only to the people who run the site. Since no system is completely secure, we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without authorisation.
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
8. Your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles
Access and correction
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, and have it corrected if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Usually that means emails you have sent us. Requests go to [email protected] or through our contact page. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address we hold, and we will respond within 30 days. Neither access nor correction costs anything.
Deletion
Before the retention period in section 2 runs out, you can ask us to delete your emails. We will, unless a message has to be kept to deal with a legal claim.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, put the complaint to us in writing first, and we will reply within 30 days. Should that time pass without a reply, or should our answer not satisfy you, you can lodge a written complaint with the OAIC through oaic.gov.au or call its enquiries line on 1300 363 992.
9. Children
Our readers are adults aged 18 and over. The site is not aimed at children, nor do we knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, let us know and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
Adding a tool that handles personal information, switching providers or changing how long we keep data would each lead us to update this policy. The version published here is the one that applies, with the date of the last revision shown at the top of the page.
11. Contact
Privacy questions and requests go to [email protected]. For data you gave the casino, contact the operator through Lucky Mate support at [email protected], since casino accounts and the information stored in them are closed to us.
